Welcome!

We are a warm and welcoming pre-school located in the heart of Northumberland. We are located in the grounds of Belsay Primary School within a purpose designed portacabin with an excellent well designed outdoor area.

Our staff team are very experienced and committed to supporting the children and their families.

It is important to us that your child is happy and secure and makes excellent progress during their time with us. We have good links with the local community, including the local schools.

Our setting works with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights and safety of children and to give the the very best start in life. All staff have attended training about Safeguarding Children.

Our setting is committed to anti-discriminatory practice to promote equality of opportunity and valuing diversity for all children and families.

We provide an environment in which all children, including those with special educational needs, are supported to reach their full potential while attending Belsay Daycare. We have experienced SENCo's (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators) who ensure our provision meets the needs of individual children.

How we work

Belsay Daycare is located in the beautiful countryside and we are make the most of this everyday with our range of outside activities. We love to get dirty and creative in our mud kitchen and construction area. We also have a wildlife area enabling the children to bird watch and see farm life going on in the fields surrounding us.

The setting is a happy place where children are free to be themselves in a caring, safe environment. Our experienced team support the children to become independent and confident and enjoy nothing more than watching them grow from 2 years old to 11 as they head off to the secondary school.

We believe that working closely with Belsay Primary School and involving the community is key to our success.

Of course not forgetting our wonderful team of staff who make the setting what it is, and always go above and beyond what is expected of them to make sure the children have the most fun everyday.
